The Paparinell Padel Open returns to Palau d'Esports with cash and sports equipment prizes

04 September 2025
Vuelve al Palau d’Esports el Open de pádel de la penya Paparinell con premios en metálico y en material deportivo

Palau d’Esports L’Illa in Benidorm will host the 11th edition of the Paddle Tennis Open, organised by the Paparinell group from September 29th to October 5th. This event has already become a classic among fans of the sport and is supported by the City Council's Sports Department.

The presentation of the sporting event took place this morning with the Councillor for Sports, Javier Jordá; Juanjo Martínez, tournament organiser; and Mercé Rius, a member of the group. Registration, according to reports, can now be made at the Palau's padel court office or by calling 681-347225. The price is 20 euros per player. All participants will receive a commemorative technical t-shirt as a gift. The tournament will have four men's categories (2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th) and a single women's category. As usual, the tournament will have an initial group stage, followed by knockout stages in all categories.

Regarding the prizes, Juanjo Martínez stated that there will be cash prizes, sports equipment, and gifts for the champions and runners-up in each category, as well as a trophy for all winners. Furthermore, on Sunday, October 5th, the date on which all the finals will be held, gifts will be raffled off to all participants attending the finals and the awards ceremony. Martínez expressed confidence in reaching 70 or 75 couples, "which is the maximum number so that, given the number of courts we have, there won't be any delays or inconveniences for participants."

Mercé Rius, in this regard, indicated that "registration has started at a very good pace" and encouraged "everyone who wants to attend because we'll have bars at affordable prices and lots of fun." For his part, the Sports Councillor also invited all padel enthusiasts to register and thus contribute to a great festive and sporting atmosphere."
