Neighborhood assembly in Benidorm to vote the 2024 Participatory Budget
This afternoon, the Assembly Hall in Casa del Fester 'Diego Cano Enguera' hosted a neighborhood assembly, promoted by the Department of Citizenship Participation and the Neighborhood Council in which the proposals presented to the 2024 Participatory Budget were announced and the voting process has begun.
The assembly, chaired by the Councilor for Citizenship Participation, Ana Pellicer, together with the second vice president of the Neighborhood Council, Francisco Martínez, was also attended by the regional deputy and Councilor for the Water Cycle, José Ramón González de Zárate, it was "the 148 proposals presented" were read out, the councilor noted, and some of the speakers present at the event were able to expand the information by "resolving doubts" for the attendees.
The neighbors who "wanted it this way" have already been able to cast their vote in person, although Pellicer has clarified that, "as of November 8th" the telematic voting process will begin through the portal https:/ /benidorm.governalia.es. “A very simple platform – she specified – in which you have to register, verify your ID, and vote on as many proposals as you want.” All proposals presented to the 2024 Participatory Budget are also published and numbered on this website.
To facilitate the access of all citizens to the website, Pellicer recalled that the City Council, through its Internet portal, in the Citizen Participation section, has published a video tutorial that explains “in a very intuitive way” how to proceed in telematic voting and ended by encouraging all people registered in Benidorm over 18 years of age “to participate” in this “very important democratic process.”
