04 February 2022
Avenida del Mediterráneo

Next Monday, February 7, the traffic on Mediterráneo Avenue "will return to normal", when the section of La Hispanidad square will be reopened, which for the last month and a half has been closed due to the installation work of the ' tecnohito', as reported today by the Councillor for Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate. In this way, access to the Old Town will be restored through Doctor Pérez Llorca street, and the circulation of vehicles will be allowed again through La Hispanidad square to Puente and Esperanto street.

De Zárate explained that "at the moment the welding work on the structure" of the 'tecnomile' is being finalized and "next week the installation of 'LED' screens that surround this structure will begin". The mayor has clarified that the transport and unloading of these screens can lead to "specific road occupations", with a minimal effect on traffic.

The person in charge of Mobility, and also of the Works department, has stressed that the 'tecnomile' is "a benchmark of avant-garde and modernity", and with its installation and start-up the works of the first phase of remodeling of Mediterráneo Avenue.
