The Department launches a survey to make a diagnosis that helps define the new document
The City Council collects citizen opinion regarding the drafting of the III Municipal Plan for Gender Equality
In the next few weeks, Benidorm City Council is going to gather the opinion of citizens with a view to the drafting of the III Municipal Plan for Gender Equality. Responding to an anonymous survey available on the municipal website, "citizens can collaborate with the Equality department by providing statistical information that serves to make a more accurate diagnosis on which to outline the Plan", explained the councillor of the department Angela Zaragozí.
Zaragozí has encouraged "citizens to answer this simple questionnaire, in which they can also make contributions that can be very valuable when planning municipal action on Equality." The survey can be answered at:

The councillor recalled that "the previous Municipal Equality Plan was for the 2016-2020 period, although the outbreak of the pandemic changed the planned schedule, delaying the evaluation of all the actions carried out and forcing flexibility in the deadlines for the execution of which were pending at that time. Hence, it had to be extended until the approval of the new document”.
Zaragozí has indicated that “when preparing this III Municipal Plan for Gender Equality, in addition to citizen opinion, we are also going to take into account the results of the evaluation project of the previous plan; an evaluation made a few months ago through a subsidy from the Provincial Council of Alicante and that has allowed us to assess the implementation of the 2016-2020 Plan and to what extent the planned objectives have been achieved”.
“With these results, the vision of citizens and the technical contributions, we are going to have a broader and more exact x-ray of what the starting point is, what aspects need to be influenced and what are the actions to be undertaken and the objectives to be met to advance towards full gender equality”, she remarked.
