Improvements will be made to the intersection as part of the preparatory work for the construction of the underground parking garage on this avenue.
Mobility informs of the closure to traffic of the access to Limones from Jaime I next Monday, the 23rd
Benidorm City Council's Department of Mobility has announced the closure of the access road to Avenida Limones from Jaime I, scheduled for Monday, February 23. Councillor Francis Muñoz explained that this closure will initially only be in effect during the working day on Monday and is part of the work to adapt this intersection for the start of construction on the Jaime I underground parking garage.
Specifically, a new roundabout is planned for this intersection to improve traffic flow, as well as a new pedestrian crossing on the north side of the current traffic light intersection of Avenida Jaime I with Ricardo Bayona and Limones, to serve both vehicles and pedestrians once construction of this infrastructure begins.
"This is an important project because it paves the way for the imminent start of the Jaime I parking garage construction," stated the councillor, who thanked residents and users in advance for their cooperation and understanding. The closure of this section of Limones Avenue to traffic will begin around 8:00 a.m., affecting only one workday. In the meantime, drivers can access Limones Avenue via alternative routes, such as Maravall or Almendros.
Night work in L’Aigüera
Likewise, the head of Mobility has announced that on Monday morning, minor repair work will also begin on L’Aigüera Avenue, which will be carried out at night to minimize disruption to traffic and is expected to last for two nights.
