The mayor congratulates the volleyball team "Benicolchón Playas de Benidorm" for his promotion of category

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Perez, this morning has received managers and players of Benicolchon Playas de Benidorm, after being proclaimed champion of the Final Phase of the First National Men competition and ascend to Superliga 2, the silver division of volleyball Spanish. The mayor, accompanied by the councillor of Sports, Arturo Cabrillo, has congratulated the team for a sporting success that confirms the boom and acceptance of volleyball in Benidorm.

The Benidorm team was the organizer of this phase where important teams were: Alcorcón CUV, Málaga Pizarra, Encamp de Andorra, Sant Martí de Barcelona and Miajadas de Cáceres. In the tournament the player of Benidorm, Raúl Mesa, was proclaimed MVP of the Final Phase. The president of the club, Mario Rodriguez and the coordinator Ramón Gonzalez, accompanied the players during the reception in the Mayor's Office.
