The Maritime Unit of the Local Police locates a backpack with 20 kilos of cocaine in the bay of Benidorm
The Maritime Unit of Benidorm Local Police found this morning in the bay of Poniente beach a backpack floating in the sea that contained 20 kilos of pressed white powder, presumably cocaine, distributed in packages.
The discovery occurred around 10:15 a.m., during maritime surveillance work in the Serra Gelada Natural Park, when police officers spotted the backpack floating in the sea. After extracting it from the water, the agents verified that inside it contained 20 packages covered with the logo of a sports brand. Each package contained about a kilo of the white substance.
The seized merchandise will be delivered to the Civil Guard in Calpe for analysis and subsequent instruction of the corresponding procedures.
