Levante EDI wins in the final of the tournament 'Inclusive' of Costa Blanca Cup
The tournament 'Inclusive' of the Costa Blanca Cup has already a winner. This morning, after a forceful 3 to 0, Levante EDI, the football school of this Valencian club in which players with intellectual disabilities participate, has won on the football fields 'Antonio López' in Ricón de Loix to Villarreal CF. In this competition also have participated the Valencia CF and the Newcastle United, of the United Kingdom.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, along with the councillors of Sports, Arturo Cabrillo, and Social Welfare, Angela Llorca, were in charge of delivering the awards to the players of the participating teams. Pérez has described the tournament as a "benchmark" of sports tourism in the city to which "we must protect and care", even more after consolidating Costa Blanca Inclusive "a real inclusion in the sport king". "This edition," stressed Toni Pérez, "has achieved that in its logistical and care team there are guys from our Tapis, our workshop of social work integration of people with functional diversity," which opens a professional window and personal development to these people, thanks to Costa Blanca Cup.
The international football tournament Costa Blanca Cup, is celebrated in Benidorm and other localities of Marina Alta and Marina Baixa, between the 2 and the 8 of July. It gathers around 5,000 participants of 270 teams from 24 countries in Europe, Africa, America and Asia.
