Benidorm lives a summer of cinema in the beach of Mal Pas and also in Ermita de Sanz

05 July 2017
Benidorm vive un verano de cine en la playa del Mal Pas y también en la Ermita de Sanz

Culture will collaborate with the festive commissions that will offer a bar service at popular prices

The Department of Culture has presented this morning the program of 'Cinema a la Platja' 2017 that will return again to the beach of Mal Pas, on Friday 11 and 25 August with the screening of the animated films: 'Up', de Pete Doctor and Bob Peterson and Inside Out, also by Pete Docter with Ronnie del Carmen, respectively, at 9:30 p.m.

The Councilor for Culture, Ana Pellicer, also announced today that "after the success" obtained with the initiative last year, this time "we have crossed borders" because the program 'Cinema a l'Horta' will be launched, in ' that special place next to Ermita de Sanz ". Specifically, the productions of Emilio Martinez Lázaro 'Ocho apellidos vascos' will be screened on Friday, July 7 and 'Ocho apellidos catalanes', on Saturday, August 26, both at 10:00 pm.

Pellicer said that the passes will be "totally free" and that those interested, all they have to do is "move to Mal Pas beach with their hammocks or towels." It should be noted that for the programming of 'Cinema a la Platja' and 'Cinema a l'Horta', Culture has worked closely with the areas of Eventos and Fiestas "to be able to collaborate with the festive entities of Benidorm". In this way, the Commission of Festes Majors Patronals will provide a bar service "at popular prices" with "sandwiches, soft drinks and popcorn for the little ones" and the same at the Ermita de Sanz by the Commissions of Roser and Sant Isidre.
