Education announces aid for non-associated university transport

The Department of Education opens this Friday, July 1, at 09:00 a.m., the deadline to apply for individual transport aid that Benidorm City Council grants to university students who are studying on public campuses in the provinces of Alicante and Valencia for those for which there is no associative transport offer.

As detailed by the mayor of Education, Maite Moreno, "with this grant it is intended to lighten the cost of bus or train that these university students from Benidorm made last year to travel to education centres of both provinces to continue their studies.

Moreno has indicated that "as in previous courses, the amount of aid is proportional to the cost of transport that the student has paid between October to June, not exceeding 50% of it." For this call, the Department has reserved a game of 5,000 euros.

University students registered in Benidorm at least since January 1, 2021, and who are doing undergraduate studies at public universities in the provinces of Alicante and Valencia that do not have associative transport can apply for these grants. Therefore, doctoral students, expertised studies, master's degrees, etc, are not included in the call.

These aids are incompatible with those of other public or private institutions.

The application for this aid must be made on the website of the City Council, https://sede.benidorm.org, selecting the corresponding procedure within the Catalog of Services. The conditions of the call can be consulted on the Notice Board of the venue itself and at: https://benidorm.org/es/ayuntamiento/concejalias/educacion.

The application period will be open until 11:59 p.m. on July 31.
