Each voucher of 10 euros can be used as a discount on purchases or drinks equal to or greater than 20 euros
A little more than 3 million euros will be allocated to the initiative
Next week you will be informed of the application deadlines and the app and website where you can download the consumer vouchers

Benidorm City Council is going to launch ‘# BenidormTeDaMás’ initiative, a consumer voucher of up to 50 euros to be exchanged at establishments in the city that adhere to the campaign. This was announced by the mayor, Toni Pérez, who explained that this campaign, born from “active listening and permanent dialogue with the business sector”, aims to “encourage consumption in local establishments, thus contributing to continue revitalizing the city, to generate economic activity and employment ”; while facilitating "all persons registered in Benidorm, of legal age, the acquisition of consumer goods."
Specifically, as detailed by the mayor, "each person registered in Benidorm of legal age on December 31 will have access to five vouchers of 10 euros that can be exchanged at local establishments adhered to the campaign." "We are talking, therefore, of 50 euros per registered person over 18 years old," he specified.
Each voucher of 10 euros "can be used, until December 31, as a discount on purchases or drinks equal to or greater than 20 euros in the establishments adhering to the campaign." Thus, in order to access the 50 euros discount, there must be a total consumption –before the discount- of 100 euros.

Users will be able to access these vouchers, in QR format, “through a specific‘ app ’or a web page” that will be enabled for the campaign. Both in the ‘app’ and on the web you will be able to consult the establishments that have joined # BenidormTeDaMás.
Toni Pérez has stressed that "in the coming days we will inform both the official channels of the City Council and through the media of the start date of this initiative, and of the web and the 'app' in which they will download the vouchers and that will be available in the Play Store and Apple Store ”.
With regard to the establishments, “all those who have their fiscal domicile or their activity in Benidorm can participate in this campaign”, except those registered in section 647.4. Like users, establishments must register on the web platform and ‘app’, providing their opening or activity license.
All these participating establishments will appear listed on the campaign website, in the 'app' and on the Benidorm City Council website, so that they can be consulted by users.
The mayor has reported that "to this initiative,‘ # BenidormTeDaMás ’, we allocated a total of 3,094,500 euros from the municipal budget," resources 100% owned by the Benidorm City Council. With these figures in hand, Toni Pérez has stressed that “if all persons registered in Benidorm over 18 years of age make use of all the vouchers, the real consumption and, therefore, the economic impact of this initiative, will be at least 6.2 million euros ”.

Support for families and productive fabric

Toni Pérez recalled that "since the pandemic broke out, Benidorm City Council has been coordinating aid and initiatives to serve the most vulnerable families and to contribute to maintaining the activity of the local productive fabric." "Our commitment - he has deepened - has been, from minute one, to mobilize resources to serve the population and the productive fabric while it is still necessary."
In this sense, "so far this year, nearly 8 million euros have been allocated to aid and initiatives, to which is added the income that has been no longer received due to the suspension of the table and chair fee since on March 14, 2020 and until 12/31/2022 or the reduction of the ICIO to 50% ”. To this will be added in 2022 the general reduction in the tax rate of the IBI and the Tax on Mechanical Traction of Vehicles, approved in plenary session on October 25 last.
The mayor has pointed out that "now, with the arrival of the winter season and with the consequent reduction in tourist activity" and when the "regional administration and the Government of Spain" continue to "penalize with their policy of restrictions on the productive fabric and families, with a shopping basket, energy and consumption to the disproportionate rise ", Benidorm City Council considers that" it is time to inject more resources to help the population and the business sector, in this case with an initiative to benefit  both parties ”.
