The works will last for a month with a budget of 39,345 euros
Benidorm executes the renovation of the public toilets in Julio Iglesias auditorium
Benidorm City Council has started renovation work on the public toilets of Julio Iglesias auditorium in l’Aigüera Park, once a similar action has also been completed in the toilets of Óscar Esplá auditorium and Los Carrascos square.
This work also accompanies the renovation of the pavement of the two auditoriums, with which the park will be 100% rehabilitated, as indicated by the Councilor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, who has also specified that swings will also be placed as well as new lighting.
Carrobles recalled that these public toilets "have not been reformed for more than 30 years" and that "they are not updated to current regulations." That situation, the councillor continued, "makes them present an inappropriate state to serve the thousands of citizens and visitors who use the toilets during the celebration of events."
One of the reasons that has led to undertake the reform of the facilities is that "they are not equipped with accessibility for people with reduced mobility", so the works are carried out in this sense and also to adapt to the current regulations of Public Shows , Recreational Activities and Public Establishments of the Generalitat Valenciana.
The term of execution of the work is one month and the company JPC Urbanismo is executing it for a budget of 39,345.96 euros (without VAT). As the work does not affect the stability, safety or tightness of the work, a technical project is not required.
Jesús Carrobles has detailed that the materials to be incorporated "are prepared against acts of vandalism, instead of the porcelain existing until now". Likewise, the broken tiles on the floor will be changed and the plumbing will be renewed.
