City Council, Commission and Associació de Penyes organize a collection of clothes and food for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria
The call is open to other festive entities
Benidorm City Council, the Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals, and the Associació de Penyes 'Verge del Sofratge' have organized a collection of warm clothing and non-perishable food for the people affected by the earthquake registered this past Monday in southern Turkey and northern Syria. The Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, indicated that this collection of humanitarian aid will take place next Saturday, February 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Casa del Fester 'Diego Cano Enguera'. The collection will be coordinated by the Penyes Association.
Carrobles pointed out that "Benidorm has always been characterized as a caring city, always ready to help those who need it most, and we are convinced that once again the population is going to turn to this collection of warm clothes and food with them that they want to mitigate the needs of those affected by this terrible earthquake, which has already claimed more than 19,300 lives in both countries”.
This solidarity action "is also open to the rest of the festive entities of Benidorm".
