The New Creators return to the Espai d'Art of Benidorm City Council
From today, until March 3, you can visit, the Espai d'Art in the hall of Benidorm City Hall, the exhibition of paintings and sculptures of the thirty-fourth edition of the Young Creators Contest organized by the Department of Youth.
This morning, the Councilor for Youth, Jaime Jesús Pérez, accompanied by the acting mayoress, Ana Pellicer, other members of the corporation, and the public, made a first tour of the exhibition that substantially increases the number of works exhibited compared to the edition previous, 32 paintings and four sculptures, which "returns the contest to pre-pandemic levels", the councilor has assessed.
Jaime Jesús Pérez has highlighted the "great female participation" in this edition with the inscription "of 20 women and six men" from all over Spain, especially from the province of Alicante, the Valencian Community, and "also from Benidorm", has influenced.
The objective of the Young Creators Contest is to "promote the arts among young people" and, at the same time, "make it easier for people and associations" to exhibit their amateur creations, Pérez recalled, and, of course, reward them. In this sense, the jury will award 1,000 euros for the best painting and 1,000 more for the best sculpture. Likewise, the best creator under 18 years of age will receive a bonus of 100 euros.
On March 3, at 12:30 p.m., the jury will make its verdict public and deliver the cash prizes and supporting diplomas. From that moment, the awarded works will be incorporated into the municipal patrimony.
