The Brotherhood of the Rocio celebrates its traditional Triduo and Simulacro of farewell
The Hermandad Nuestra Señora del Rocío in Benidorm celebrated this Sunday its traditional Triduo and Simulacro of the farewell. This last act focused the agenda of yesterday, which started at 10.00 in the parish of La Almudena. From there, pilgrims and about a hundred horses with their horsemen have moved to the church of San Jaime and Santa Ana to offer to the Virgin of Sufragio, and to say good bye to her before embarking on a trip to the town of Rocío.
Then at Plaza San Jaime the mayor, Toni Pérez, signed his signature in the Brotherhood's Honor Book to wish a good way for those who set out for Almonte (Huelva). The same has been done by the Sister of the Brotherhood, Cecilia de Krujik Hoogendijk, in the presence of the Fiestas Councilor, Jesús Carrobles, and several members of the municipal corporation.
After this signing, in the pilgrimage and with the Simpecado of the Brotherhood carried on a cart, the pilgrims have offered a bath of petals to the Virgin of Rocío before starting the way back to the camp, located in the adjoining pine forests next to the sports city Guillermo Amor.
