Bicidorm incorporates a 100% electric vehicle for the service of collection and repair of bicycles

Bicidorm, the municipal bike loan system, has incorporated a 100% electric vehicle into the service that will be responsible for the collection, transfer and repair of bicycles. The councilman of Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate, has indicated that the implementation of this vehicle "deepens the sustainability of the service, reducing CO2 emissions."

The incorporation of this vehicle coincided with the commissioning of a new bicycle base on Avenida Alfonso Puchades, in front of the Hospital Clínica Benidorm. With this new station there are already 22 distributed throughout all the points of the city.

De Zárate explained that this new location has been chosen "because Alfonso Puchades Avenue registers more transit of bicycles after the start-up of its bike lane" which serves as a link between the Levante and Poniente network.
