Benidorm will celebrate the IV edition of Doble Amor Solidarity Cross on May 7 in El Moralet

The trails of El Moralet Park will host the fourth edition of Cross Solidarity in favor of Doble Amor and people with intellectual disabilities of the Marina Baixa on Sunday, May 7, a sporting event that was presented today by the Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros , accompanied by the president of the Benidorm Athletics Club, Manolo Martínez, and the director of the occupational center, José Manuel López.

The test, organized by the Sports Department, Benidorm Athletics Club, Benidorm Ultratrail Club, and Doble Amor, will begin at nine in the morning in its different modalities and categories, and an hour and a half later, at 10.30, the children's races, from babies to sub-16. Cebreros recalled that "registration is supportive and comes with the gift of an exclusive t-shirt of the event." The councillor encouraged "everyone to participate, for which they can register on the website www.grupobrotons.com

The circuit will be eight kilometers long "very simple, with clean tracks and accessible to any runner because it has minimal technical difficulty" explained Manolo Martínez, who also indicated that the departure time has been brought forward to 9:00 "due to the heat, It can get a bit heavy."

Once the races for the older ones have finished, those for the younger ones will begin, with different distances according to age “and also with very simple routes for their safety”. In the case of babies, parents may accompany them on their tour. "It is a race designed so that anyone can participate, to exceed the 500 registered last year," said Martínez.

José Manuel López, for his part, affirmed that it will be “a playful sporting and solidarity day in which everyone can fit. You can go cross country, walk on a very light route or enjoy the barbecue. Registration is solidary and prices range between 12.60 euros and 3.60 depending on the specialty and category.

López also advanced that in addition to the runner's bag for all participants, the winner will receive a prize ham, as will the most prominent sports club outside of Benidorm and another for the local club that contributes the most athletes.
