Around 80 people have gathered this afternoon at the doors of Benidorm City Hall to hear the reading of the World Rare Disease Day manifesto that has been celebrated around the world this February 28. The call has been organized by AERBECO, the Association of Rare Diseases of Benidorm and Region, and the event has been attended by the councilor for Social Welfare, Angela Llorca, accompanied by representatives of the various municipal groups; the senator for Alicante, Agustín Almodóbar; the president of the Comissió de les Festes Majors Patronals 2018, Paco Marín; and the queens of the Major Patron Saint Festivities, Fátima Carrobles and Anna Calbo.
The president of AERBECO, Juan Miguel Martínez, has begun to read the manifesto that the maximum representatives of the Benidorm festivities have finished. Then a few commemorative balloons were released and, in the Assembly Hall, the Theater Group of the Coral Group of Benidorm (ACB) has interpreted the work 'El exámen de maridos' by Juan Ruiz de Alarcón. Throughout the day, nearly 300 associations throughout Spain have convened around 200 events similar to Benidorm.
