The city of Benidorm will resume musical and leisure activities with 'Benidorm Summer Nights', a cycle of outdoor performances during the months of July and August, which will take place in Julio Iglesias auditorium in Parque de l'Aigüera with a capacity from 400 people to a maximum of 800, according to the Councilor for Events and Festivals, Jesús Carrobles, and Jose Piñero of Baltimore Productions. Both have confirmed that in July there will be six scheduled performances: El Kanka (July 4), M-Clan (day 9), Carlos Sadness (July 18), Ara Malikian (July 23), Martita de Graná (day 24 ) and Coke Mesh (day 25).
The mayor has stressed that "festivals and musical events are, without a doubt, one of the hallmarks of Benidorm tourist offer, and that is why it was important to maintain that offer, although adapting it to new circumstances, with all the guarantees of sasfety and with smaller formats in public, but not in quality ”.
Carrobles has indicated that "when planning the venue we have observed all the health prevention guidelines to guarantee the safety of the public, workers and artists, without sacrificing quality and comfort, thus ensuring great nights of music and humor."
As detailed by the mayor, "among the measures provided is the control of gauging and taking temperature attendees before accessing the site. Once inside, the box area will be delimited with spaces for 4 or 6 people, while the seats for attendees will be distributed in the stalls respecting the safety distances. In addition, to minimize the displacement of the public within the enclosure, there will be no bar service, but a staff of waiters will serve the attendees, who will be able to carry out their orders through an ’app’. Inside the venue there will be a hydrogel and at the beginning and at the end of each performance all the material will be disinfected ”.
The head of Events and Festivals has indicated that "this 'Benidorm Summer Nights' reaffirms the commitment and trust of Producciones Baltimore in the city, since despite the suspension of the 2020 edition of the Low Festival they wanted to be in Benidorm this summer with this cycle. "
Carrobles and Piñero have advanced that "in brief dates the sales channels of 'Benidorm Summer Nights' will be informed and the August poster will be announced."
