Benidorm abre un nuevo aparcamiento disuasorio en el Rincón de Loix con capacidad para 110 vehículos

Benidorm City Council has announced the start-up of a new park and ride park, which is added to the existing ones throughout the municipality. On this occasion, the new space is located in Rincón de Loix, on Almirante Bernat de Sarrià Avenue at Zamora Street. It has a capacity for just over 110 vehicles on a plot with an area of 2,800 square meters.

This new parking lot, which was visited today by Mayor Toni Pérez and the Councilor for Mobility, Francis Muñoz, is now operational after the cleaning, clearing and removal of belongings that were on the plot have been completed "so "which is perfectly suitable for parking," said Muñoz.

The new spaces are added to the more than 8,000 free spaces distributed in the different park-and-ride facilities that Benidorm has, following the formula used on previous occasions of agreeing with the owners to be able to provide parking as long as there is no building on the surface.

Taking advantage of the entry into operation of this parking lot, the City Council is doing cleaning and maintenance work in another nearby deterrent parking lot, the one located on Juan Fuster Zaragoza Street, where cleaning and clearing has been carried out, as well as incorporating a concrete floor. concrete at the entrance on Zamora Street, which is most affected by the rains and the passage of vehicles. A new rolling layer will also be added “whose materials come from recovered products such as aggregates from demolitions or milling remains from other municipal interventions,” Muñoz specified.
The work, the councillor explained, will last for just four days "so everything is ready for the summer so that it can be used without any inconvenience."

Francis Muñoz recalled that thanks to this park-and-ride formula “the city has gained many free parking spaces” and “the municipal technical services ensure that these plots are not neglected. All this at zero cost for citizens.”
