Benidorm launches the first job search program ‘Improve your employability 2024’
This first workshop will run until September 6th and the second will run from the 25th to the 27th of this month
The Employment and Local Promotion Agency of Benidorm City Council has launched the ‘Improve your employability’ programme, which aims to provide participants with resources and tools to increase their chances of employment. The Councillor for Employment, Mónica Gómez, who welcomed the participants in the programme today, has highlighted “the importance of knowing the labour market and the strategies for an effective job search” while encouraging them to “develop your strategy, taking into account the importance of the continued effort that it entails”.
The Councillor recalled that “it is an initiative that is very well received and that is why we schedule different calls for applications every year to try to reach the greatest possible number of people”. “There is work, we have a constant stream of offers and what it is about is finding the most suitable one” said Gómez, who encouraged the participants to “make the most of this programme because it is a great opportunity”.
This first session of ‘Improve your employability’, given by the counsellor Vigela Lloret, will be held on the 4th, 5th and 6th of this month from 9.30 to 13.30 in the Central Library and has 16 participants who receive training related to the acquisition of techniques for job searching, the preparation of their ‘curriculum vitae’, how to prepare for a job interview or how to obtain information on the labour market.
The second session will take place the last week of the month, from the 25th to the 27th at the same time and location and those interested in participating can register by email at agenciadesarrollo@benidorm.org or by calling 966815511. ‘Improve your employability’ is co-financed by Benidorm City Council and the Alicante Provincial Council. The Provincial Council grant amounts to 3,140.19 euros and finances 50% of the Benidorm Employment and Training Resources Guide 2024 costs and the career guidance workshops ‘Improve your employability 2024’.
