The Euroclub party will feature artists from Benidorm Fest, will have a Fan Zone and will connect live with the television event from Plaza de la Hispanidad
Benidorm extends to May 12 and 13 the activities programmed for Eurovision
The Plaza de La Hispanidad will host a great party on the occasion of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 12 and 13. An appointment that has been presented this morning by the mayor Toni Pérez and the Councilor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, whose main novelty is that it repeats the successful formula of last year and extends it to two days.
Under the "already consolidated" Euroclub Benidorm Fest brand, as the mayor has highlighted, "we are going to turn to a very accepted idea, very successful, by celebrating two great parties in the technohito of Plaza de la Hispanidad".
Pérez recalled that the Euroclub already had "a great presence" at the Benidorm Fest, although its first touchstone was seen last year at Eurovision. Now it returns with more activity and news, many of which will be revealed shortly. "We will provide more information, but we can now announce that for the open-air party concerts on those days, we have a confirmed lineup," the mayor revealed.
A lineup formed, for the moment, by artists such as Soraya, Sharonne, Meler, E'Femme, Megara, Rakky Ripper, Sofía Martín, and José Otero. "The idea is to continue last year's successful party with more concerts and in an open and free way," said Pérez, adding that "it will be a great event for the general enjoyment of Eurofans and music lovers."
The party will begin on Friday at 8:00 p.m. with the performance of the artists on the poster, there will be a DJ to entertain and a presenter linked to the Benidorm Fest event. There will also be a 'Fan Zone' to enjoy the performances, photographs with The Little Mermaid and the Benidorm Fest microphone, photocall, etc. The completion is scheduled for around 00:30.
The day on Saturday will also begin at 8:00 p.m. with animation and an hour later it will connect with the festival through the giant screens. Once the contest is over, there will be a concert by the singer Soraya. The mayor has specified, however, that "the cartel is still open to new additions."
Pérez stated in the presentation that “it will be a great party in two sessions. The first to warm up the engines and the second to enjoy Eurovision”. The mayor made it clear that the City Council "will do everything on its part to make it a unique, festive, musical and playful opportunity to experience the Eurovisual party in Benidorm and from Benidorm."
Finally, regarding whether the live connection from Benidorm would be repeated to transmit the score of the Spanish jury, as last year, Pérez clarified that "it is a decision that is not up to us to make or communicate, although I have to say that relations with RTVE are magnificent. This celebration of the Euroclub is possible thanks to this enormous and intense collaboration with RTVE”.
