The auditorium of the cultural center opens this Friday with the presentation of the Official Book of the Festes Majors Patronals

The auditorium of the cultural center of Benidorm will live this Friday, November 4, its premiere day with the presentation of the Official Book of the Festes Majors Patronals, an act organized by the Comissió and that will take place at 8:30 p.m. The mayor, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; and the president of the Commission, José Vicente Fuster, have addressed today the last details of this act, which is part of the programming of the Cultural Week of Festes Majors Patronals and that will have the collaboration of the Musical Union of Benidorm and La Coral Association.

As the mayor advanced, "to give even greater symbolism to the coming-out of this cultural facility, the first piece that will sound in the auditorium will be the Benidorm Anthem, performed by the Musical Union and the voices of our Coral." Later, a  repertoire in homage to the local musician José Pérez Barceló will be heard, who was president for many years of the Musical Union and a figure who always stood out for his support of culture and music, in addition to being honorary president of the entity. The pasodoble, (a Spanish piece of music), 'Jaume Antón' and 'El penyet i la penyeta' will complete the repertoire.

Toni Pérez thanked “the predisposition of 'José Pérez Barceló' Municipal Music Conservatory, the rest of the city's bands and the Fiestas Comissió so that the Musical Union and La Coral participate in this act and thus music is present in such an endearing appointment that serves as a prelude to our Local Fiestas and, in this case, the premiere of the smaller room of the cultural center".

Thus, he recalled that "the presentation of the Official Book is one of the most important events on the calendar prior to our big days and that brings together all the protagonists and pillars of our Festes Majors Patronals: Queens and their court of honor, Fiestas Commission, Associació de Penyes, Camareres and Mariners de la Mare de Deú, Costalers de Sant Jaume and La Barqueta Recreational and Cultural Association

The pages of the Official Book collect the activity of the Commission during the last year and includes sections dedicated to the highest representatives of the Fiestas, the Queens, and their court of honor; the complete festive program; and literary collaborations on historical or festive passages.
