Tribute to Italian music by Camerata Ars Cantica at its summer concert

The Town Hall Assembly Hall hosted the traditional Summer Concert of the Camerata Ars Cantica, conducted by Jaime Francisco Ripoll and with M. Eugenia Palomares on piano. This year, the concert was dedicated to the greatest hits of Italian music.
More than 200 people enjoyed the live concert featuring female voices that combine classical, lyrical, traditional, popular, and even commercial styles, highlighting the richness and versatility of the female timbre with specially adapted harmonies and arrangements. Among the audience were the Councillor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, and other members of the local government team.
In the first half, Ars Cantica performed "Lascia Ch'io Pianga" by Georg Friedrich Händel, adapted by G. Pino; "Gerusalemme" by Bepi de Marzi; ‘Tema d’amore’ from Cinema Paradiso, by Ennio Morricone, adaptation by J. Casas, ‘Signore delle cime’, by Bepi De Marzi; ‘Volare’, by Domenico Modugno, adapted by J. L. Blasco; ‘Nella fantasia’ by Ennio Morricone, adaptation by Ch. Ferrau; and 'Senza Catene, by Alex North, adaptation by H. Zaret.
Already in the second half, the camerata continued with songs such as 'Vivo per lei', by Grupo O.R.O. (Olindo Zoccolella, Roberto [Roby] Manzoli and Giuseppe Mengali); 'Ciuri, Ciuri', Italian popular song; ‘In my way’, by Claude François and Jacques Revaux; 'O bella ciao', also popular Italian; ‘Alegria’, by René Dupéré, ‘Gobbo so pare’, popular with arrangements by C. Jaufre; and ended with 'Funiculì, funiculà', by Luigi Denza.
