Music, book presentations and dramatized readings at ‘Setmana Cultural de les Festes Majors Patronals 2021’

Benidorm recovers its Cultural Week of Festes Majors Patronals, a preamble to the celebrations in honor of the Mare de Déu del Sofratge and Sant Jaume and whose programming was revealed today by the councilors of Festivities and Culture, Jesús Carrobles and Jaime Jesús Pérez, together with the president de la Comissió 2021, Batiste Rostoll. A program that "will run until November 11 and premiered last Saturday,‘ Dia de les Penyes ’, with the SM l’Illa concert."
The Councilor for Culture has indicated that "during the Cultural Setmana various concerts have been scheduled by our music bands and the Rondalla of the ACR La Barqueta, as well as a dramatized reading and the presentation of several books on historical, literary or cultural events of Benidorm ”.
The first of these books, ‘Benidorm, verse by verse’ bears the signature of Antonio Bravo García and is presented this Thursday, the 4th, at 8:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of the City Council.
On Saturday 6th the music will be the protagonist with a concert by the SM La Nova Symphonic Band at 5.30 pm in the Julio Iglesias auditorium in the Parque de l’Aigüera; While the next day at the same time and venue it will be the turn of the Unió Musical Symphonic Band. That Sunday, at 8:00 p.m., the church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna will host the concert of Pulso y Púa de la Rondalla de La Barqueta.
On Tuesday, November 9, the Catarsis group will perform a dramatized reading of "The Last Months of Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer" in the Assembly Hall of the City Hall; And in this same space, the book 'Forty years is nothing' will be presented on Wednesday 10, in which the history and trajectory of the Benidorm Choral Group is collected, an entity that in 2021 has received the Cultural Distinction 'Ciutat de Benidorm '.
The Cultural Setmana de las Festes Majors Patronals will close, on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of the Casa del Fester, the presentation of the book 'Devocions marineres a terres valencianes by Pep Martorell i Damià', organized together with the Frax Foundation .
