The mayor congratulates Fernando Sanabria after winning the silver medal in ITF Taekwon-do World Championship

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, together with the councilor of sports, Arturo Cabrillo, have received this morning the champion of the silver medal Fernando Sanabria in the ITF Taekwon-do World Championship held in the city of Inzell, Germany. The athlete, a native of Benidorm, has a wide list of achievements and has received the congratulations of the mayor on behalf of people of Benidorm.

Sanabria participated in the world championship with the national team Fest in the Junior category with a total of eight representatives of the Tae Benidorm Club. Likewise, during the competition they were accompanied by their instructors, Master José Luis Diego Bas and Sabunim Paco Ferrando Ferrando.

Junior competitor qualified for the final of the match and, after several rounds, got the silver medal to proclaim himself World Subchampion with his partner Yasine Tahaloui.

Finally, this weekend has achieved the bronze medal in the Spanish Kickboxing Championship held in Guadalajara.
