'Guillermo Amor' Stadium will host the U-20 friendly match between Argentina and Honduras
The national U-20 teams of Honduras and Argentina will play a friendly match on Saturday May 18 at "Guillermo Amor" stadium at 5:00 p.m. The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, the sports councilor, Arturo Cabrillo, the technical director of the Argentine National Team, Fernando Batista, and the technical director of the Honduran national team, Carlos Tabora, have presented this morning the friendly event.
The mayor of Benidorm has commented that "the U-20 category is the prelude to the absolute categories" and that "they allow us to see a competitive sport with a great pedagogical load".
The coach of Honduras wanted to "thank the involvement of Benidorm City Council" and, in turn, "encourage the population of Benidorm and surrounding areas to attend the football match" for the great "human and sports growth of the players."
Fernando Batista, technical director of the Argentine National Team, thanked "the city of Benidorm for its reception in the ten days prior to the U-20 World Cup." He also wanted to emphasize that "among the teams of both teams there are players who have a great future in senior teams."
Currently, the Argentine team part as a favorite having won six times this U-20 World Cup. Both teams have qualified for the XXII edition of the U-20 World Cup that will be played in Poland on May 23 and will run until June 15 included. Admission will be free for those under 18 years of age.
