After the priest's blessing, Tramontana performs the traditional "Mayos" (songs) from Castilla-La Mancha
El Campo-Plaza de España Neighborhood Association celebrates its traditional Cruz de Mayo festivity

El Campo-Plaza de España Neighbourhood Association celebrates the May Cross festival every year in Benidorm. The event was open to residents and visitors, and included the participation of the mayor, Toni Pérez, members of the local council, and the regional representative, José Ramón González de Zárate.
The parish priest of Buen Pastor, Juan Bautista Samper, welcomed those present, especially the neighbourhood members' association, and blessed the cross and those in attendance with holy water. He then gave the floor to the mayor, who, out of protocol, thanked the neighbourhood group, chaired by Elisa Castillo, for inviting him to the event.
Then the Tramontana group performed some Manchego mayos (traditional songs) and danced typical Castilian-Manchego 'jotas' (traditional dances). Finally, the neighbourhood association invited all attendees to refreshments.
