Comprehensive renovation of the children's area in EIM El Tossalet
The Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, together with technicians from the City Council's Engineering area and staff from the centre, visited the installation hours before its premiere by the school's students, coinciding with the traditional celebration of the end-of-year party.
Moreno emphasized the comprehensive nature of the action, which he described as "urgent and necessary", given the state it was in "after more than fifteen years of service", to which should be added "the lack of pavement, imperfections in the terrain or the deterioration of the common play area”.
With this renovation "security has been advanced" in the patio that gives access to the classrooms, "the existing elements have been replaced and new ones installed". The patio now has three different play areas, two of them with a slide "to encourage children's play and imagination". Also, the intervention has involved "the placement of coloured safety pavement on a surface of 50 m2". "A great improvement - Moreno said- with which, we are convinced, the little ones are going to enjoy a lot".
Benidorm offers its neighbours three municipal nursery schools: El Tossalet, Les Caletes and Les Fontanelles, in which 1st Cycle Infant Education is taught, from zero to three years. It also has the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI), Nanets.
