Benidorm tests the suitability of an electric bus in its urban transport network
This morning the urban transport vehicle has been presented that from last Saturday until Thursday, November 2, will be providing service on different lines of Benidorm urban transport network to test the suitability of the electric vehicle in the passenger transport service in town.
Within the Energy Transition Project that Avanza Group develops at the national level, the city of Benidorm has been included so that through its urban conditions of layout, roads, road traffic, mobility conditions, geometry of transport lines, orographic level, disposition and climate, it is possible to test the vehicle, the technical feasibility of the provision of the service and the satisfaction of users and the company for the implementation of this type of driving technology, with zero vector emissions, in the device of urban transport networks.
The objective of the test is to know, in Benidorm, how this bus works, the driving conditions of a vehicle of this type and dimensions, the comfort of the customer who uses the service and the analysis of electricity consumption.

Characteristics of the vehicle

The motive power is provided by a system of lithium-ion technology batteries that make it possible to move, having limited the maximum speed to 80 km / h.
