Benidorm extends the deadline for requesting TEN 2021 grants and activities related to leisure

The Local Government Board (JGL) of Benidorm has approved extending the deadline to apply for TEN 2021 grants and those for leisure-related activities until next November 3, as advanced today by the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gomez.
The TEN 2021 grants, aimed at the local productive fabric linked to the tourism sector to minimize the economic impact of Covid-19, are financed through a grant of 486,776 euros from the Alicante Provincial Council.
With the extension of the term it is intended "to reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries until the available money is exhausted."
Gómez recalled that "the call is aimed at companies, SMEs and freelancers who were left out of the 'Parenthesis Aid' for having more than 10 workers, thus correcting that situation and compensating part of the significant effort they have had to make to maintain your activity".
The aid is intended for "companies in a series of sectors linked to industry and tourism", and foresees "a base amount of 2,000 euros per self-employed person, SME and company, to which 200 euros 'extra' will be added for each worker registered on December 31, 2020, up to a maximum of 8,000 euros ”.
"Since the pandemic began, the City Council has at all times tried to support the entire productive fabric of Benidorm, with different lines of aid to reach companies and professionals from all sectors and activities that have been affected and allocating to this all the necessary financial resources ”, stressed the mayor.
Among the sectors that can benefit from the 2021 TENs are hospitality, transport, leisure and travel agencies and operators companies that have more than 10 workers in their workforce and up to a maximum of 50.
Among the requirements to access these TEN 2021 grants, have the tax domicile in Benidorm, and have seen the average monthly billing reduced by at least 25% from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 compared to 2019.
If, once all the applications have been resolved, all the available credit has not been exhausted, this will be distributed proportionally among the beneficiaries of the aid who have been distinguished with SICTED tourist quality seal with a maximum additional amount of 2,000 euros. If the available credit still does not run out, it will be distributed among all beneficiaries in proportion to the number of working people and up to a total maximum of € 12,000 per company or self-employed.

Aid to nightlife and other sectorsOn the other hand, the Governing Board has also approved the extension of the deadline for applications for aid to SMEs, micro-SMEs and small self-employed entrepreneurs who carry out their activity in nightlife, as well as to other activity groups, also until November 3 with the same purpose of reaching the largest possible number of requests. These activity groups include the following activities:
a) According to municipal opening license:
- 2.7.7 Multi-purpose premises
- 2.8.6 Lounge
b) According to CNAE:
- 5621 Provision of meals prepared for events
- 7021 Public relations and communication
- 7410 Specialized design activities
- 7311 Advertising agencies
- 7721 Rental of leisure and sporting goods
The objective of these grants, Mónica Gómez has said, has always been "to show our support and total support for the leisure sector in view of the restrictions to which it has been subjected and being aware of the importance it has in the city" . "With this action we intend" has continued "to reduce the economic impact of the pandemic in this sector, which has been more than evident throughout all these months."
These grants also come from a subsidy of 295,000 euros from the Alicante Provincial Council, through which each beneficiary company will receive 3,000 euros. As in the first call, a total of 57 requests were attended and 168,233 euros were granted, there was a remainder pending execution of 127,366 euros, which will now go to the companies that request it in the new term.
These aids can be attended by any company or self-employed with tax domicile in Benidorm that between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 would have reduced the monthly average billing by at least 25% compared to the monthly average of 2019.
Among the "eligible items" of these grants include expenses such as the self-employed fee, the monthly rent of the establishment, advisory and consultancy expenses and those related to energy, water, telephone, internet, security or maintenance contracts. equipment. Also, those related to loans for the acquisition of the business premises, its insurance, or those derived from the rental or acquisition of vehicles 100% related to the activity.
