The women's autonomous juvenile final of volleyball is played this weekend in Benidorm

La final juvenil femenina autonómica de Voleibol se juega este fin de semana en Benidorm

The first two classified teams will represent the Comunitat Valenciana in the championship of Spain in A Coruña

The four best teams of juvenile women's volleyball in the Region of Valencia will face this weekend in the Pavilion 'Raúl Mesa' in a final organized by Club Volleyball Playas of Benidorm in collaboration with the City Council and the Volleyball Valencian Federation.

The Councilor for Sports, Ana Pellicer, has presented this morning the event, in the company of the president of the Federation of Volleyball of the Region of Valencia, Arturo Ruíz; and the coordinator of the local team, Ramón González. The final will face Playas Benidorm with CV Xàtiva, CV Elche and CV Grau (Castellón) over three days: Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, in the modality of all against all, according to their position in the final standings of the regular league.

Ana Pellicer has taken the opportunity to congratulate the senior female and male teams of the Playas de Benidorm that "after a brilliant season", will also play their final regional stages "demonstrating the great training work" coming from the club.

A team representing Benidorm throughout Spain

The president of the federation thanked the support received by the City Council and the club, "one of the historic clubs in the Valencian Community" that year after year "is demonstrating a job well done" from the base categories. "Hopefully," said Arturo Ruíz, "we had the opportunity to make the leap to the Super League which is what a city like Benidorm deserves."

The president has also announced that the first two classified in the tournament will have the possibility of representing the Region of Valencia in the Championship of Spain, to be held in A Coruña from 26 to 30 April.

For his part, the coordinator of the team, has noted the "good health" of the sport base in the club, and has reaffirmed in the purpose of "continue working to bring this fruit in a senior team that can represent Benidorm thorought Spain".

The team of Club Volleyball Playas of Benidorm is composed of Alba Úbeda, Cristina Zafrilla, Amparo Vélez, Laura Fernández, Laura Cano, Andrea Piernas, Alba Patricia Pérez, Andrea Expósito, Sarai Jiménez, Silvia López, Vania Opazo, Ahlam Monsiff, Henar Martínez , Patricia Madaleno, Alicia García-Villarrubia and her trainer Loli Cortinas.
