The Municipal Professional Conservatory of Music 'José Pérez Barceló' of Benidorm celebrates today the second day of the fifth edition of its Open Doors Day. Between yesterday and today has been visited by 500 primary school students from all schools in the city. In the morning, the future students have been received by the teachers, have seen the classrooms and facilities and have been offered a concert by the teachers. There have also been projections of stories and the most daring have been able to try their favorite musical instruments.
The Head of Studies at the conservatory, Pedro Salinas, has said that these days are "a very effective way" to publicize the municipal facilities. It is very important that the students know "what is done in a conservatory, what is the music" and also, he stressed, "to capture new musical concerns so that they can start studies here the next course."
The Open Days will continue this afternoon with student concerts and a lecture talk about musical teachings.
