The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has demanded at the end of the General Assembly of Hosbec greater funding for the city and has stated that "it would come to us if they only returned a small part of what we contribute". In this sense, the first mayor has urged the superior administrations to "apply a repercussion to the municipality by the VAT that is generated in the city."

Pérez, in his speech, recalled that they are about to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the hotel management and highlighted "all the good that it has contributed to tourism, the city and the Valencian Community". He has also underlined "his vindictive character, always successful".

At that point, the mayor has referred to the figure of Toni Mayor, president of Hosbec, who has announced today that he will not renew his mandate and that the next employers' meeting will be electoral. “You have been the point of wisdom, prognosis and guidance for this city to improve” he has told her.

He has also praised the "excellent team behind him", for which "success in the continuation is guaranteed". Pérez has predicted that when he leaves the presidency of Hosbec “he will become one of those people whose imprint exceeds his role. He has known how to live up to this city”.

For his part, Toni Mayor, before announcing that "the time has come for the replacement", has been very harsh with the central government by describing the fact that "only 26% of the 900 million has been executed as an "insult". planned for the Community" and has specified that the underfinancing "supposes 1,000 million euros of the annual deficit".

He has also stated that “it is not presentable that the coastal train has been replazed for a tram train that connects Gandía with Denia, and in Benidorm, he has opted for “not losing the spirit of Pedro Zaragoza”. He has also urged businessmen to "remain involved in the fight against climate change because there is no way back" and has ended by insisting on the need for a "modern and renewed" Imserso program.

The president of the Diputación, Carlos Mazón, wanted to "thank the extraordinary work of Toni Mayor and Hosbec" and assured them that "his replacement will be very lucky to have him at his side advising". Mazón has finished his speech with a resounding "No to this Imserso and No to the tourist tax".

Lastly, the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer, also wanted to show his "gratitude and appreciation" to Hosbec "for always defending and vindicating" and stated that "you are an example of lobbying, a rebellious sector critical of the power ”. Colomer has also praised Benidorm, a city that he has said: “has always been a great laboratory of ideas”.

On the other hand, at the end of the assembly, the vice president of the employers' association, Federico Fuster, has read a manifesto against the tourist tax in the Valencian Community.
