Three programs for the promotion of employment subsidized by the Servef are completed

06 July 2017
Finalizan tres programas de fomento del empleo subvencionados por el Servef

The City Council has hired ten people for employment counseling and work in municipal offices for 6 months

In the last weeks, three programs of employment promotion subsidized 100% by the Valencian Service of Employment and Training (Servef) have been completed through funds from the Public Employment Service (SEPE), which have allowed the City Council to contract during six months to eight people who were unemployed and another two have offered counseling to more than 200.

Through the EMCOLD program, the City Council has had two job counselors who have focused their efforts on improving the employability of long-term unemployed people, offering advice, information and guidance. In six months these two professionals have served 223 people referred through the Servef, mostly women between 30 and 45 years. EMCOLD has had a cost of € 20,545.66, financed entirely by the Conselleria de Economía Sostenible, Productive Sectors, Commerce and Labor, through the Social Initiative Program.

Recently, the EMCORD and ECORJV-Salario Joven programs have also been completed, which have enabled the hiring of eight people who have served in municipal facilities. Both programs have involved an investment of 73,546.67 euros, fully subsidized by the Servef with SEPE funds.

Through EMCORD, the City Council has had five assistants who have been in charge of controlling access to different municipal centers. The ECORJV-Salario Joven program, for its part, has involved the recruitment of three university graduates under 30: an Organizational Climate technician, who has provided services in Human Resources; a labor mediator who has carried out an intervention project in families with minors at risk of social exclusion; and a job counselor who has performed advisory duties in the Employment and Local Development Agency.
