Success of the public in the first concert of the 'Benidorm Music Jazz' at Plaça de la Senyoria
The Sevillian sextet 'O Sister', with his new work 'Stompin in Joy', were in charge of offering the first of four concerts scheduled for the 'Benidorm Music Jazz' festival in its 2019 edition. With his approach to jazz Most original and primitive, 'O Sister' knew last night to connect with the abundant public that gathered in the Plaça de la Senyoria, and did not hesitate to dance the songs that the group played for more than an hour and a half of performance.
The councilman of Culture, Ana Pellicer, did not want to miss this performance, which like the rest of the scheduled in the cycle, all free, will take place outdoors. Thus, of the three concerts that complete the 'Benidorm Music Jazz', two will be held in the Plaça de la Senyoria and one in the Óscar Esplá auditorium of the Parque de l'Aigüera.
The next appointment will be on Friday, May 17, in the Senyoria, with Celia Mur, one of the most prolific and versatile Spanish jazz singers, and Arturo Serra, self-taught Valencian percussionist.
In June, the third appointment will take place. It will be on Friday the 7th, at the Oscar Esplá auditorium, with the 'Cotijazz Big Band', a band in which musicians from Benidorm will participate. The cycle closes on June 14 in the Plaza de la Senyoria with 'Pepe Bao Trío', which brings a vision of jazz and flamenco from the inspiration of funk, soul and American music.
