The City Hall has invested 90,000 euros in two new burial islets
San Jaime cemetery has expanded its burial capacity with 176 new burial units, distributed in two burial islets. The construction of both islets is almost complete, according to the mayor, Toni Pérez, who has indicated that this action has meant an investment of "about 90,000 euros."
The mayor stressed that this is "the most important investment made in the cemetery of San Jaime in recent years," and has detailed that "two islets of 88 units of niches each" have been executed.
Pérez, who has verified the development of the works accompanied by the councilwoman of the area, Angela Llorca, said that these islets have been built next to the first entrance of the cemetery, "an area currently in disuse" and there were no plants or urban image, with this action "we are closing the urbanization of this area" of the cemetery, which will be endowed with "maximum accessibility and services".
