Benidorm condemns with one minute of silence the murder of a woman in Huercal
Benidorm City Council has convened this Monday at noon a minute of silence and condemnation, at the gates of the City Hall, after the latest case of gender violence that has led to the murder of a woman, last Sunday, in the town of Huercal, in Almería. With this act of repulsion, the municipal corporation with the first deputy mayor, Ana Pellicer, at the head; representatives of the different municipal political groups, public workers and anonymous citizens, has wanted to record their public condolences for such a tragic loss and condemn sexist violence. The 33-year-old woman, allegedly killed by her ex-partner, aged 31, had not previously reported the abuser, although he had a history of gender violence. This is the second confirmed case of gender violence of 2017, after the happened last day 1 in the Madrilenian locality of Rivas Vacíamadrid.
