An olive tree of 600 years to commemorate in Benidorm the centenary of Club Leones

07 June 2017
Un olivo de 600 años para conmemorar en Benidorm el centenario del Club de Leones

Club Leones in Benidorm has commemorated this morning the first hundred years of this charity with the planting of a 600-year-old olive tree, pruned to the Japanese, and a bench with the logo of Club Leones. Both installed in the gardens of the Town Hall.

During the event, which was attended by the acting mayor of Benidorm, Ana Pellicer; the Councilor for Social Welfare, Angela Llorca; and with members of the different groups with municipal representation, the president of Benidorm Club Leones, Vicente Saval, thanked the City Hall for the space provided where from today the olive tree and the new bench are available to all citizens.

Club Leones is an international charity that has a presence in 206 countries and brings together more than 1,350,000 members worldwide.
