Next Saturday, March 17, the first edition of the Base Football Tournament will be held, organized by CF Calvari with the collaboration of the Benidorm City Council. This has announced before the media this morning by Arturo Cabrillo, councillor of Sports, at a press conference attended by the club's president, José Santiago López.

The event will be held in the annex of the Ciudad Deportiva Guillermo Amor. It will start at 9:00 in the morning and it is scheduled to end around 8:00 p.m. Arturo Cabrillo indicated that for the department that he directs "this type of basic initiatives is very important to promote the sport". For that reason, when the club announced the proposal, "we did not hesitate for a moment to lend our support". Cabrillo encouraged the public to participate "with their presence" in Guillermo Amor to "enjoy a magnificent show of football juvenile".

For his part, José Santiago López announced that there will be eight teams that have registered for the tournament: CF AT Ciudad de Benidorm, Benidorm Foundation, CF La Nucía, CD Barrio Obrero, CF Independiente de Alicante, ACD Betis Florida and FC Jove Spanish, in addition to CF Calvari. "This tournament," López said, "is the prelude to the presentation of the work that the club will develop for next season."
