The Department of Foreign Residents encourages those who want to improve their language level to participate in this training

Diputación offers a free online Spanish course for international residents

02 September 2022
Curso Residentes Extranjeros

The Provincial Council of Alicante offers international residents an online Spanish course to improve their knowledge of the language. The Councilor for Foreign Residents, Ana Pellicer, has encouraged "those registered in Benidorm of other nationalities who want to improve their level of Spanish to enrol in this free training, which is adapted to the level of each student."

The course lasts approximately 9 months and offers 400 places. Those who register will take a level test and a progression test, and will be able to choose access to the system in 14 languages.
As explained by the Diputación, the user can access the system from their computer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, although there is also the possibility of using tablets or mobile phones, although some features will not be available. Likewise, there is the possibility of working offline by previously downloading the units.

Students will have at their disposal a tutorial to learn about the system and technical assistance in Spanish and English by email, and they will be able to customize the course based on their interests and progress.
To participate, you only have to be registered in Benidorm and provide a copy of the registration certificate or flyer, dated from June 2020 onwards. If the person does not have this document, they can request it through the Electronic Office (https://sede.benidorm.org) using their digital certificate.

Enrollment can be formalized until September 30 or until the available places are completed at www.ciudadanosextranjeros.es, where you can also find all the detailed information on the course. Registration will be done in order of receipt.

Once registration is formalized, students will receive access codes, which they must use within a week to take the level test. During the first month, a minimum of 10 hours of online course must be completed; while to receive the certification a minimum of 50 hours is required during the duration of the course.
