The councils of Sports and Equality organize a course of female personal defense against gender violence

27 February 2019
Las concejalías de Deportes e Igualdad organizan un curso de defensa personal femenina contra la violencia de género

The departments of Sports and Equality of Benidorm City Hall have organized for this Sunday, March 3, a course of personal defense, especially focused on women against gender violence in Raúl Mesa Pavilion of Ciudad Deportiva Guillermo Amor, with the collaboration of Moo Duk Kwan club.

All those interested in attending this course, totally free and adapted to any age and condition and that will be developed in a single day from 10.30am to 1pm, will be able to learn personal defense techniques against physical and / or sexual injuries.

The Councilor for Sports, Arturo Cabrillo wanted to record that "is designed for all women, since the level is beginner and free." We hope there is a high turnout because in addition to this self-defense course, alternative activities will be developed like zumba or aerobic. "

Councilor for Equality, Paquita Ripoll, vindicated the importance of organizing this type of courses, "since it always benefits and helps women to protect themselves". He also said that from her department is already working "to organize another course of personal defense, but with a longer duration for better preparation."

Finally the president of Moo Duk Kwan club, Antonio Aguilar, thanked the confidence placed in the club in the organization of this day in which "the assistants will learn to protect themselves against an imminent sexual aggression or physical abuse".
