The new recognition helps Spanish destinations integrate the millennium SDGs
Benidorm Tourism offices renew the 'Q' for Quality and achieve the ICTE Sustainability seal for the first time
Benidorm Tourism offices have renewed the Q certifications for Tourist Quality and Safe Tourism. This Tourism Quality Guarantee mark is a Spanish brand, recognized throughout the world, which is aimed at the voluntary certification of the quality of tourist services. The brand certifies the quality of the management, services, and infrastructure of tourism organizations.
To achieve this, a tourism organization must demonstrate compliance with the technical requirements dictated by its corresponding standard and must implement a management system oriented toward customer service and continuous improvement.
In addition, the city's Tourism offices have also obtained for the first time the 'S' seal for Tourism Sustainability awarded by the Institute for Tourism Quality of Spain (ICTE).
This new certification has been implemented by the ICTE to help establishments, companies, and destinations in Spain in the integration of the Millennium Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In that sense, the SDGs on which Tourist Info of Benidorm works are: number 8, relating to decent work and economic growth; number 9, on industry, innovation, and infrastructure; number 11, related to sustainable cities and communities; number 12, on responsible production and consumption; and number 14, related to underwater life.
