Benidorm prepara un nuevo Taller de Empleo, con el que contratará a finales de año a 20 personas desempleadas

Benidorm City Council is preparing a new Employment Workshop, with which 20 unemployed people over 18 years of age will be hired at the end of this year and for a period of 12 months, and participants will also be trained in two specialties. The Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez, explained that “with this 'Benidorm X' workshop we reached ten editions of a program with which the skills and knowledge of the participants are improved thereby increasing their employability, since the students who pass the workshop will receive a certificate of professionalism in the specialty they have studied ”.
Gómez has reported that "at the moment they are already working on the selection of the managerial and teaching staff of the Workshop" and that "in September registration will open to participate in the program." Later, at the end of that month or in October "the students will be selected, divided into a group of 10 people for each training specialty". As in previous years, the program will start at the end of the year.
The councillor has advanced that ‘Benidorm X’ Workshop will be developed in the modalities of ‘Guide by bicycle routes’ (code AFDA0109) and in ‘Auxiliary operations of administrative and general services’ (code ADGG0408). For the first two, being a level 2, participants will be required to have ESO or equivalent studies. As Gómez has clarified, "this time unemployed people over 18 will be eligible for the program."
For this ‘Benidorm X’ Employment Workshop, Benidorm City Council has received a grant from LABORA of 482,716.80 euros, an amount that will be complemented with 40,000 euros from the municipal budget.
Gómez has stressed that “in these times of difficulty due to the pandemic, the best social policy that we can do from the City Council is to generate employment and opportunities for those people who are unemployed; and for this reason we are allocating significant financial resources to the implementation of initiatives and programs that contribute to this objective ”.
