Benidorm intensifica los medios para luchar contra actividades no autorizadas en las playas

The City Council will campaign to inform how to enjoy the beaches in which the tourism sector will collaborate

In addition to the police reinforcement, there will be a special device for inspectors on boardwalks

Benidorm City Council will intensify this summer the control and the means to fight unauthorized activities on the beaches, such as the street vending of drinks or the carrying out of massages. This was done by the Councilor for Beaches and Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martinez, after a meeting in which the mayor of Health, Ana Pellicer, and representatives of the groups of the corporation participated, and which has drawn "the lines Teachers "of the information campaign on" how to enjoy a good day of beach "that will develop the City Hall throughout the summer.

Martinez explained that this information campaign "is mainly focused on foreign tourists" and that the ultimate goal is "to try to end the activities that damage the image of the city."

The campaign will act as a kind of "decalogue" for the good use and enjoyment of beaches, and will include sanitary recommendations on the use of protective cream, hydration needs during sun exposure, or the use of appropriate clothing; But will also collect warnings about massages by people without training or consumption of products from the street vending.

From the City Council will seek the collaboration of the associations of the tourism sector so that "the message reaches the largest possible number of tourists."

The council has remarked that the municipal action will go beyond the information aspect, since from the Department of Public Safety and Beaches will increase the effectiveness to limit these practices on the sand. In this way, we work to ensure that, from the first week of June and at least "until the end of October", five local agents are added to the Local Police staff from other municipalities. These troops will operate in the section of Beaches, which has already been reinforced with ten interim until the end of the high season.

In addition to this police increase, a Special Inspection Service has been set up from Playas, made up of three inspectors and will be deployed on the promenades of Benidorm. This device will be operational from Monday to Sunday at times when there has been a greater presence of people selling drinks or offering massage services on the beaches.
