Benidorm hosts the VIII International Tennis Tournament Juan Fuster Zaragoza, which this year is up in the official ranking

There will be participants from 5 continents and 18 of the 20 best Spanish rackets under 14.

The Councilor of Sports of Benidorm, Arturo Cabrillo, today presented the VIII International Tennis Tournament Juan Fuster Zaragoza, which will be held from 26 August to 3 September and which will host much of the best rackets in the world in Sub-14 category. Along with the mayor, Vicente Fuster, have been in the presentation, representing the International Colegio Lope de Vega, as well as the tournament director, Gonzalo Morell.

The tournament, which is held in single and double categories for both men and women, is organized by 'Tennis Europe Junior Tour' and C.D. Lope de Vega Benidorm, and has the collaboration and sponsorship of entities and companies such as Benidorm City Council, Provincial Council of Alicante, Valencian Tennis Federation, Coca Cola, C.I. Lope de Vega, Servigroup Hotels, Citroen Tresmóvil, Play Babolar and Ferrer Tennis Academy.

Arturo Cabrillo has emphasized the "growing prestige of this tournament, which is consolidated as an international sports offer" and has very positively valued "the impact that has to promote Benidorm as a sports tourism destination", as the event is going to bring more than 400 families to our city. In total there will be 80 boys and 58 girls athletes who will form the tables of the different categories.

Vicente Fuster stressed that "the tournament has gone up in the international ranking, going from level 3 to level 2" and added that "there are only two tournaments in Spain in this category in sub-14 and one of them we have the luck to organize. " Fuster thanked the collaboration of the Department of Sports and all the partners and sponsors.

For his part, the tournament director, Gonzalo Morell, has highlighted the projection that the tournament winners are having in recent years, progressing in the ATP rankings considerably, which in his words "is a sample of the level of tennis Which has the tournament every year ". In fact the winner of three years ago, who has just turned 18, is qualified to play the previous phase of the next U.S.Open, one of the four grand tournaments of the Grand Slam.

Morell added that in the tournament there will be participants from 5 continents, most European countries and 18 of the 20 best rackets Spanish sub-14.
