Until September 17, reading enthusiasts can find books of any subject and for all ages
With more than 70,000 copies, it has opened its doors today the 28th Fair of the Old and Used Book in Benidorm, which until September 17 will be installed in the Triangular Square and in which seven bookstores participate. The mayor, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Culture, Ana Pellicer, and several members of the corporation have been among the first to browse the exhibits at the points of sale, which will be open during the fair from morning and afternoon until midnight.
The Councilor for Culture has indicated that in this fair participate "libraries of Benidorm" and also of Altea, Granada, Lorca and Murcia. Pellicer pointed out that exhibitors can find works of "all themes and for all ages". In fact, the children will have a special role in this edition of the fair, because "on weekends starting at 8 pm there will be puppetry and storytelling activities to energize the area and encourage reading."
The coordinator of the fair, Javier Gomiz, said that it is "a small but very rich fair," because "there is a lot of books from 1500 to current copies that have been discontinued because the sales channels have not been theirs and the Editorial has paid them off. " A circumstance that makes it possible for readers to find recent works or editions at very low prices.
Gomiz has also valued the variety of copies and works that are in the fair, since although the participating libraries "may coincide in some collection", "most likely not find anything repeated" in the exhibitors.
In addition to books, the fair can also find numerous collections of comics and even vinyls.
