The Smart Office DTI of Benidorm City Council selected in the Smart Tourism and eGovernment categories
Benidorm, finalist of enerTIC Awards 2019
A total of 66 municipalities and companies have been selected in the 22 categories in which the 2019 enerTIC Awards have been organized for the 2019 edition that reward innovation and technology for the energy efficiency of the digital era.
On September 12, the deadline for the evaluation of nominations submitted ended and after analyzing the scores obtained, the Committee of Experts chose the finalists for each of the awarded categories among more than 130 projects submitted. The selection process met the evaluation criteria based on the degree of innovation applied, the usability of Information and Communication Technologies, the impact on the reduction of energy consumption and CO2 emissions, the exemplarity or applicability in other organizations / environments and the use of metrics and indicators of improvement.
The Smart Office DTI of Benidorm City Council is the embodiment of innovation as the world's first certified Smart Tourist Destination under the UNE 178501 standard. The Smart Office DTI structures the large amount of data that is available, prior to joining a technology platform , both in the area of tourism and the different control centers distributed in the city on the water cycle, energy, traffic control, cleaning and maintenance of the city. In the Smart Office DTI the information is analyzed and visualized for efficient decision making in the governance axis, which has made it a finalist in both the eGovernmet category and Smart Tourism.
All participating organizations, companies and entities have had a technological partner for the development and implementation of the proposal. Inteligencia Turística SL has supervised the Smart Office TDI proposal of Benidorm City Council.
Since 2013, the enerTIC Awards reward innovative technological projects carried out by companies and organizations committed to energy efficiency and sustainability.
The online voting deadline for finalists, among which is the Smart Office DTI of Benidorm City Council, is open to the public until November 15 at www.enerTIC.org/Awards. Your votes will decide the winning projects that will be made public at the official Award Ceremony, on December 12, at the Secretary of State for Digital Advancement.
