Equality programs several events to commemorate the International Day against Gender Violence

Tomorrow, International Day against Gender Violence, the council of Equality has planned at noon to place on the balcony of the City Council the placar 'Benidorm against Gender Violence' and a minute of silence in memory of the victims, 39 so far this year. At 13.00 hours, in the administrative extension of Els Tolls and organized by the association of neighbors, there will be an act in honor of the murdered women entitled 'Ha dejado el grupo'. In the afternoon, at 19.00 hours, the Assembly Hall of the City Council will host the performance of the show 'Mujer de Agua' by the local artist Ana Benavente and organized by the department of Equality and Culture. The events commemorating the International Day against Gender Violence will continue next week with two conferences. The first, entitled 'Conoce, detecta and escapa de la violencia de género' and organized by the Lions Club, will be held on Tuesday, November 29, in the Hall of Acts of the City Council at 19.00 hours by Marina Marroquí, president of the association against gender violence. The next day, the Council and the Provincial Council of Alicante, in collaboration with the Association of Housewives, present the talk 'La respuesta ciudadana ante la violencia de género', by José Pablo Cuéllar, a legal technician of the Office of Measures Alternatives to the Prison of the Provincial Hearing and author and co-author of various articles and books about gender violence.
