On April 20, the registration for Infant and Primary schools students starts in Benidorm
This Thursday, April 20, registration is open in the 13 public schools and the Catholic center of Benidorm for the 2023/2024 academic year, in which more than half a thousand students are incorporated into the 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education , according to data provided today by the councilor for the area, Maite Moreno.
Following the trend of recent years, "the enrollment application process will be carried out on the website enabled by the Ministry of Education, www.telematricula.es, from this Thursday at 09:00 until 23:59 next 28th of April".
Moreno detailed that "to date, in Benidorm, there are 536 registered minors born in 2020, the potential population that joins the 3-year-old Infant next year." Of them, "72 are already in school by occupying a place in the 2-year-old classrooms set up by the Ministry, so they have reserved their school position as well as students with special needs."
According to the calendar established by the Ministry, the registration period closes on April 28. On May 31, the provisional lists of those admitted to each center will be published, and families being informed through the email they provided during the application process. The provisional lists can be claimed for three days, publishing the final lists on June 14. From that same day until June 30, families who choose to do so online will be able to formalize their registration; while those who prefer to do it in person will have a deadline from June 22 to July 5.
Processing
For enrollment in public Infant and Primary schools and the Catholic center, families must access www.telematricula.es. The only requirement is to have a DNI/NIE. The first step will be to generate the admission key, one for each minor. Immediately afterward, the applicant will receive by email the identifier and password for each request that they have to make depending on the number of minors to be enrolled. It is essential to keep the access code to be able to consult the lists and present claims.
Moreno clarified that "people who do not have an electronic DNI/NIE or do not have access to the internet may carry out the admission procedure in person on the same dates at the educational center where they are applying for a place as the first option".
2-year-old Infant classrooms
The same calendar will operate for families who want to enroll their children in the Ministry's 2-year-old classrooms; an offer reserved for minors born in 2021. For the next academic year 2023/2024 the initial offer is 72 places in the CEIP Aitana, Vasco Núñez, Puig Campana, and Mestre Gaspar López. However, a fifth classroom could be added at the La Cala school, still to be confirmed, increasing the offer to 90 places.
The 2-year-old classrooms are not zoned, but cover the entire municipal area, as is the case of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores Catholic school
To these are added the 65 offered by the City Council in the network of municipal nursery schools (Fontanelles, Les Caletes, and El Tossalet) and the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI) Nanets and for which the application period has been opened today on the municipal website, https://sede.benidorm.org/inicio”. The Councilor for Education recalled that "depending on demand, there is the possibility of expanding the initial offer of P2 in SAPI Nanets".
